Electronics and computer technology are developing rapidly and the performances of aircraft designed today are increasing day by day. An aircraft's electrical and electronic components are vital to flight. For this reason, maintenance personnel who will work in the field of Aviation Electrical and Electronics should be well-trained, responsible and qualified. Nişantaşı University Civil Aviation School Electrical and Electronics Department aims to equip its graduates with the knowledge and skills that they can perform at the determined levels when they enter the field. In addition to being an institution that has been providing education in many branches of aviation for years, our university contributes to our students in terms of personal development by having instructors who know aviation culture well and have high industry experience. English as an aviation language has an important role in the entire education system, as aviation and electrical and electronic technology expects success at universal standards from field employees. With this understanding, Nişantaşı University Civil Aviation School aims to meet this need with its intensive English programs in the Aviation Electrical and Electronics Department, as in all its departments. As a result, the Department of Aviation Electrical and Electronics trains aircraft technician candidates who will meet the expectations of national and international aviation authorities with their technology and English education on the one hand.
In the Department of Aviation Electrics and Electronics, courses are offered for a total of 8 semesters. Efforts were made to increase the technical quality with intensive English. In this context, such courses as AC-DC circuits, flight theory, non-destructive control methods, electronic circuits and communication, aircraft burgundy instruments, etc. are taught. Program details are the same as in the Department's curriculum.
Graduates work in the technical departments of Turkish Airlines A.O., Turkish Air Force Air Supply Maintenance Centers, private airline companies, aircraft maintenance centers and other companies operating in the aviation field.
Graduates can apply to master's and doctoral programs in aviation.
Students who want to enrol in the department must succesfully pass the exams and complete the processes determined by OSYM (Student Selection and Placement Centre) within the framework of the academic and legal regulations of the university. A student who start his/her education in an equivalent program at home or abroad can apply for internal transfer. Each application is examined and evaluated separately before the semester begins by considering the conditions of each student and the degree for which they apply. More detailed information on university admission is available in the Institutional Catalogue. The foreign students who enrol in department in accordance with the specified scope of student exchange programs approved by the university can take the courses offered in the department.
All issues in the department are carried out in accordance with AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL LICENSING (SHY-66).
There is no special end-of-program exam or final exam period that must be taken at the end of the academic year or following the completion of the program in order to receive the degree / complete the program. However, there are midterm exams in each semester and two-week final exams at the end of the semester, usually immediately after the end of the semester. In addition, the student is required to submit a Graduation Thesis to be prepared at the end of a project work and an oral thesis presentation (in the 7th or 8th Semester) for this work.
